Olen taas värjännyt kokenillilla vähäsen myyntilankoja kuorikokeilujen lomassa, alemmasta yllä olevista piti tulla monivärinen, mutta kokenilli peitti alla olevan krapin, muuten ihan hyvä väri, värjätty harmaalle langalle. Ylempi on sitten jälkiväri samasta liemestä, myös harmaalle langalle. Molempia värejä on vain 300g kumpaakin. In EnglishLast week I have dyed yarns for sale with cochineal. The lower yarn in the top picture was going to be multicolored, but again cochineal covered all the madder red I had dyed before. Nice color nevertherless. The other one is from after bath of the same cochineal. Both are dyed on grey wool and I have only 300grams of each.
Nämä onnistuivat paremmin, punaisessa on vaalean ruskealle langalle krapilla värjätty pohja ja kokenillia päälle, ja violetissa indigo ensin ja sitten kokenilli. Kumpaakin väriä on vain 200g, samoin kuin alakuvassa olevaa oikeanpuolimmaista väriä, jossa on kokenillilla värjätty samettijalkavihreän päälle. Siinä puretuksena oli rauta, muissa aluna ja viinikivi. In EnglishThese turned out better, the red one is dyed on light brown wool first with madder and then with cochineal. The purple yarn is dyed first with indigo and then cochineal. I have only 200 grams of these both, as well as the purple in the far right in the bottom picture. That color was dyed first with green with mushroom Paxillus atrotomentosus, mordanted with iron, and then with cochineal. All the other colors were mordanted with alum and cream of tartar.
