Natural dyeing is so much fun, but it takes time to learn how your dyed yarn and color behave in light in time, or in washing, and while there are very good books on natural dyeing, your own experience is most important. Sometimes it doesn't matter if the color fades, but most of the times it matters. I hope to learn more from the experiments I am doing this year, but not all of them are dyes I would use in the future for yarns which I sell. Also my water and my yarn may react differently than someone else's yarn and water. Lately I've noticed so many dyers out there teaching and/or selling fiber that has been experimentally or even haphazardly dyed and not colorfast. Dyeing with high pH gives more red, but it also damages my yarn:(Leenahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14266878515009058403noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9129357734481422196.post-33572431916035918792018-04-07T20:50:26.950+03:002018-04-07T20:50:26.950+03:00Both colours are very pretty but I'm surprised...Both colours are very pretty but I'm surprised the fermented bath didn't give you a permanent red.
